Join us as Mile of Music (MoM) and new moms Ellie, Karli, and Kate celebrate motherhood with a great night of original music and all that jazz.
This will be a joyful, soul-stirring evening as jazz singer-songwriter and composer Ellie Martin celebrates the release of her new album Morning Glories — a love letter to motherhood, transformation, and all the beautiful messiness in between.
Just in time for Mother’s Day, this show is a heartfelt tribute to moms of all kinds — and a perfect night out to honor the women who’ve shaped us.
We'll have surprises for the moms and treats for everyone.

About The Artists
Ellie Martin is a jazz vocalist, and a singer-songwriter with a PhD in jazz studies, who performs a wide variety of repertoire from Brazilian music, American Songbook, Bebop, as well as her original compositions. A fearless improviser, Ellie delivers songs with individuality, passion, and honesty. Career highlights include performing at the Pittsburgh Jazz Festival, the Sunset Jazz Festival, and the Michigan Jazz Festival. She was the featured vocalist with the National Arab Orchestra in San Antonio Texas, and performed alongside jazz luminaries Geri Allen, Terri Lynne Carrington, Esperanza Spalding, the New York Voices, Jon Hendricks, and Afro Blue. Ellie's debut solo album Verdant was released in May of 2023 to positive reviews both nationally and internationally. The project is a collection of original compositions that reflect on her experiences as a mother, a woman, and a cancer survivor.
Karli Reisdorf of Natural Satellite has been performing and captivating audiences with their unique sound for nearly a decade. When not performing as Natural Satellite, Karli teaches toddler music classes and does freelance work recording and performing with various artists.
Kate Voss Lively entertainment featuring award-winning vocalist/bassist Kate Voss. The Hot Sauce can be arranged as a duo up to a sextet and we keep it spicy with fun covers from Ray Charles, Brenda Lee, Chuck Berry, Patsy Cline, Hank Williams, Nancy Sinatra, and much more from the '50s & '60s. Highly danceable with a twinge of nostalgia, Kate Voss & The Hot Sauce is great for events and occasions of all kinds.
About The Venue
Located in the heart of downtown Appleton, Gibson Community Music Hall is an artist-centric live music venue that showcases largely original music performers representing a variety of music genres. Our small, close-knit team prides itself of bringing you a special music experience in a beautiful historic building alongside other respectful music fans.
Seating
Unless otherwise noted or you've purchased a specific seat via our seating chart, all seating at shows are available on a first-come first-served basis. This includes those acoustic/listening room "all seated" shows that do not have seating charts (some do) and all full-band shows that do not have seating charts (only a few do). All seating is a mix of tall stools and tables as well as shorts chairs with tables - about the same quantity of each. Please email us with questions of special mobility needs at [email protected].
