All advance ticket buyers are guaranteed a seat for this show. Seats are available upon entry on a first-come, first-served basis.
Attendees are welcome to bring in food from their favorite downtown eatery.
A small fee is added to tickets for tax and processing.

About The Artists
New Nostalgia (From New Nostalgia's band leader): Compared to some jazz music, New Nostalgia’s music is really demanding, highly notated and specific. It’s like a jigsaw puzzle, where the song only works if all the parts are arranged and performed just right. That being said, I do try to find pockets in the music for everyone to have their moments of creative freedom––and I’ve come to rely on a lot of the band members to exercise that freedom. I could never come up with the fills + textures that Brandon (our guitarist) plays, or the wild, endlessly varied interludes that Larry (our pianist) comes up with between tunes on our gigs.
Wurk is a 6-piece funk-fusion group which formed in Madison, WI in 2016. Inspired by Umphrey’s McGee, Snarky Puppy, Lettuce, Phish and many others, their innovative original songs and ambitious interpretations of popular covers offer an impressive blend of jazz fusion, prog rock, jam rock and more, all with the consistent underlying grooves of funk. Wurk has opened for acts including The Motet and Andy Frasco & the U.N. and helped pack venues across Wisconsin. Described by Isthmus Magazine as “summer-jam-perfect” and two-time recipient of the Madison Area Music Association (MAMA) Artist of the Year Award (2019, 2022), Wurk fills the gap between complexity and groove, impressing fans and keeping them dancing all night.
About The Venue
Located in the heart of downtown Appleton, Gibson Community Music Hall is an artist-centric live music venue that showcases largely original music performers representing a variety of music genres. Our small, close-knit team prides itself of bringing you a special music experience in a beautiful historic building alongside other respectful music fans.
Seating
Unless otherwise noted or you've purchased a specific seat via our seating chart, all seating at shows are available on a first-come first-served basis. This includes those acoustic/listening room "all seated" shows that do not have seating charts (some do) and all full-band shows that do not have seating charts (only a few do). All seating is a mix of tall stools and tables as well as shorts chairs with tables - about the same quantity of each. Please email us with questions of special mobility needs at [email protected].
